I seek refuge in God, from Satan the rejected (Quran 16:98).

| 26:160 |
The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), |
The people of Lut rejected the apostles. |
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
| 26:161 |
When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil) ? |
Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (God)? |
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ |
| 26:162 |
Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, |
"I am to you an apostle worthy of all trust. |
إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ |
| 26:163 |
So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. |
"So fear God and obey me. |
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُون |
| 26:164 |
And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. |
"No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. |
وَمَا أَسْءلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِي إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ |
| 26:165 |
What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, |
"Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, |
أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنْ الْعَلَمِينَ |
| 26:166 |
And leave the wives your Lord created for you ? Nay, but ye are froward folk. |
"And leave those whom God has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" |
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَجِكُمْ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ |
| 26:167 |
They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. |
They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" |
قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنْ الْمُخْرَجِينَ |
| 26:168 |
He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. |
He said: "I do detest your doings." |
قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنْ الْقَالِينَ |
| 26:169 |
My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. |
"O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" |
رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| 26:170 |
So We saved him and his household, every one, |
So We delivered him and his family,- all |
فَنَجَّيْنَهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ |
| 26:171 |
Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. |
Except an old woman who lingered behind. |
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَبِرِينَ |
| 26:172 |
Then afterward We destroyed the others. |
But the rest We destroyed utterly. |
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْاءخَرِينَ |
| 26:173 |
And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. |
We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! |
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنذَرِينَ |
| 26:174 |
Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. |
Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. |
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَاءيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ |
| 26:175 |
And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. |
And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. |
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
