Download Quran Explorer (Beta)

Full-featured Windows Based software with search facility to read Quran The Final Testament (Authorized English Version translated from the Original by Rashad Khalifa, PhD). Contains all the appendices including the description of the mathematical miracle. Many user customizable and advanced options including for search and viewing. Topic management and Print options (prints both plain and formatted output). The software is under development and some features are not fully implemented and may have bugs. However, it should not damage your system, and can be easily uninstalled if so desired (from Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs), God willing. The current beta version is 1.6, released on August 12, 2008. If you already have a previous version of QE installed, it is recommended you uninstall that prior to the installation of the newer version (from Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs), God willing. DOWNLOAD QE (includes all add-ons) Core QE module: (1) Core QE : the basic Quran Explorer software without any add-ons Add-on components: (1) Voice feature (allows reading of verses), (2) Concordance (a list of every word in the Quran, including the ability to click on the hyperlink and navigate to the context) (3) Index add-on (a list of key words taken from the print edition of the Quran, and augmented with machine-based finds) (4) Svenska (Swedish) language Quran text add-on

Installation Instructions

Create an empty folder on your desktop. Click on the Download link and download the file "QE_beta.zip" to the newly created folder. The file "QE_beta.zip" should now be in the new folder. Extract the installation files contained within this ZIP archive (Right-click on the file and select "Extract All"). When the extraction is complete, double-click on the file "setup.exe" file. This starts the installation. If you would like to install the add-ons, the process is similar. One would make a new folder (step 1 above), download the add-on (step 2 above), extract the installation file (step 3 above) and click on the "setup.exe" file (step 4 above) to begin installation. Note: If you are only installing the core QE module, after unzipping the files, look for the "setup.exe" in the folder you extracted the files to. Double-click this file to launch the install. Add-on components in this case would be downloaded and installed separate.
